I’ve been eating a lot of fish since I’ve been here in Lisbon and just for a change I thought I’d go to the Hare Krishna vegetarian restaurant in Rua Dona Estefania which is 5 minutes walk from the Picoas Metro stop. They were so welcoming - I had a cup of liquorice tea and a creamy pea sauce and papadums as a pre-starter. This was followed by spicy chickpea soup and then salad with roast vegetables carrots, peppers, turnip, kale, grated red cabbage, and a kind of bread / pastry side - totally delicious and I was too full to have dessert.
Later on my 30-min walk back to the apartment I came across even more street art as shown below.
I never thought I’d say this, but there was a light spray of rain this evening as I arrived back and it was very welcome - cool and fresh - I’ll try to remember that sentiment when I’m back in Ireland.
