When I was in London last weekend I went to the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square, I spent some time looking at the famous nineteenth century paintings: Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Surat's Bathers, Cezanne's Bowl of Fruit and Constable's Hay Wain.

I made two drawings while I was there , one of Constable's Hay Wain which didn't work out too well, (so I haven't posted it) but the other drawing I did was of Van Gogh's Sunflowers and it worked out well - I only did the initial drawing in the gallery and I finished it over the last few days.
