This episode from the That Sounds Interesting podcast features an interview with Jason Durall about the history of Tabletop Role Playing Games and who plays them and how they are played.

I first met Jason Durall in Berlin several years ago at a Shut Up and Write meet-up which he hosted on several days a week in different cafes, and I found out he was in quite an unusual business :  the development of Tabletop Role Playing Games, a subject of which I knew little about, but this interview changed that. Jason has worked for many years in this industry in both the USA and in Germany and shares some of his knowledge.

01. What is Stoicism?

Posted 16 Feb 2021

Podcast guest Peter Daly talks about stoicism

If I asked any random person on the street “what is Stoicism?”, I’m pretty sure many of them would be hard pressed to say more than a sentence or two about it, and I have to include myself in that group, so I had to do a quite a bit of research before talking with today’s guest, Peter Daly, my brother, who has been practising Stoicism for 15 years.

It’s a discussion on the ancient philosophy from Greek and Roman times, which has been in and out of favour over the centuries and now in the 21st century, it has undergone a big revival with modern Stoics applying it as a framework for living in today’s complex and demanding world.

This 30-minute podcast covers the history, the key aspects, the practice and resources for the modern Stoic.
