Hi, I'm Frank Daly and VisiActive is my IT Consultancy contracting company.
I am a SQL Developer / Analyst with 20 years technical and business experience including: Business Intelligence development, Database Architecture, SQL Server design and development (relational and star schema), Kimball Methodology, ETL package development, Business Analysis, Reporting and DBA using SQL Server (2005, 2008 R2, 2012), SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, C#, VB.net, and ASP.Net, for BI and MI projects mostly in the financial services industry. Recent Highlights include:

- Design and development of database and application solutions for BI and MI projects.
GodleyWood (Contract)
At GodleyWood the project involved the analysis, design and development of scalable BI financial and marketing reporting databases (relational and star-schema data warehouse) and a suite of SSRS reports and SSIS ETL procedures. The project included the following components:
- Financial and Marketing Dashboards, Business Metrics, User and transactional analysis reports
- Charting, summary and drill down reports
- Importing financial data from Apple iTunes, Paypal and Flurry Analytics
- Importing production, and transactional data from the company application databases
- Processing and summarising data to produce data marts, summary and detailed data
- Multi-currency financial reconciliation.
- Development of video and audio SSRS reports
PTSB (Contract)
At PTSB I carried out analysis, design, and database / ETL package development to extract and transform data from legacy banking systems (Opics, Hogan, Unibanks) and automate the movement into a financial data warehouse used for regulatory reporting and liquidity risk management.
Certus (Contract)
Certus provides financial services to Lloyds Banking Group in managing the loan book of the former Bank of Scotland (Ireland). I worked on four SQL projects for the Certus MI Department:
- Development of ETL packages to move telephony data from Avaya systems and integrate with collections reporting.
- Extraction of Conduct Risk information and the development of a reporting dashboard.
- Migration of mortgage forbearance data into a SQL Server data layer and reporting layer with summary charts and drill down to detailed reports.
- Development of ETL packages to extract data from a FICO Debt Manager system into a SQL Server Customer accounts and forbearance database for SSRS ad hoc queries, reporting and detailed evidencing extracts.
IBRC Bank (Contract)
At IBRC Bank I carried out analysis and migration of legacy data from treasury systems, corporate financial systems and a business intelligence data warehouse, cleansing the data, loading it into a staging database using SSIS ETL packages and reporting and extracting flat files and excel files for transmission to the National Asset Management Agency.
Bank of Scotland Ireland (Contract)
The project at Bank of Scotland (Ireland) was the development of a Basel II Credit Risk Management system using ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server and SSRS.
RTE (Contract)
The project at RTE (TV Broadcaster) involved migration of data from more than 50 data sources, including Excel, XML, SQL Server, MS Access, CSV's, and proprietary databases, into a staging database, where the data was matched, de-duplicated, cleansed, reported on, reviewed, and finally extracted into sets of related CSV files for loading into a Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
Innovation Value Institute (Contract)
At Innovation Value Institute I carried out analysis, design and development of a dashboard with complex charting and drill down reports for a management consultancy project.
